A benefit concert will be held tomorrow night to help victims of the New Year's Day fire that claimed two businesses and damaged another at 858-862 Western Ave. in Allegheny West.

Tom Roberts and Susanna Ortner Roberts, a Harlem stride piano and Klezmer clarinet duo, will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church at North Avenue and Resaca Place.

Checks for a suggested donation of $10 should be made out to the Western Avenue Fire Relief Fund.

The fire was believed to have started in the building that housed K.S. Kennedy Florals. That building was gutted and the adjacent Modern Cafe was damaged. The salon Styles By Thomas and Thomas also suffered smoke and water damage.
