Suicide ruled for woman found hanged in Collier lockup
Wednesday, August 20, 2008

The death of a woman this week in a Collier police lockup has been ruled suicide, the Allegheny County medical examiner said.

Amber Kendzlic, 23, whose last known address was in Bridgeville, was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. yesterday in St. Clair Hospital.

She had been taken there after police found her hanging from her neck in a restroom at the township lockup.

Ms. Kendzlic had been arrested on a warrant that charged her with missing court appearances related to charges filed as early as 2004.

The charges then included identity theft, tampering with records, obstruction of the administration of law, and traffic violations.

She had been a subject of the Allegheny County district attorney's accelerated rehabilitation disposition in 2006.
